This adorable Nurse Graduation Gift Package makes a perfect gift for any nurse graduate. This package features a nurse figurine, who holds a diploma and a silver colored medical caduceus. Also included in the gift package is a customized print with the name and photo of the nurse grad, and a set of four Florence Nightingale Nurse Notecards with a unique quotation on each.
I don't know about unique, but some popular ones include gift certificates to local uniform shops as well as catalogs (new grads love getting all those new scrubs instead of that horrible school outfit!). Also a basket of nursey logo supplies like note cards and pens, memo pads, lanyards, name badge holders etc for those who are wrapped in the cutesy nurse doodads ">
Speaking from someone who is graduating on Sat- I would tell people to give her $$$$$$$$$$$$ if they want to give her something. I know it isn't very specific or unique to nurses but if she is in a similar situation as I am-she probably needs the cash! Even though I have worked all through school, I am completely broke and am praying relatives will give me cash because even though I have a job lined up -the soonest they will let me start is the 13th of may. So there you have it-a nice thoughtful card with some greenbacks would be a beautiful gift for a new grad to recieve. And maybe a gift cert-for some nice new scrubs!
We first started using this when my daughter was 3 months old and around 12lbs. I had high hopes for this suit and was very disappointed when it didnt make a bit of difference to her sleep and I thought I'd wasted $40. My husband pointed out that it was huge on her and that it should prob be snug to make her feel like shes being held so I put it away and tried again a month later. At 4months and around 14lbs this suit helped somewhat with her sleep. Not a magic suit but still there was a marked improvement in her sleep on the nights she wore the suit. My daughter is now 5 months old and 16lbs and she sleeps great in this suit! Without the suit on she rolls on her stomach to sleep which worries me but in ... full review ">

A watch (wristwatch or fob, engraving optional). Let’s face it, nurses pretty much need to use a watch for many things, from checking respirations and heart rates to documenting time. Furthermore, a watch is useful for practical, everyday time management. So surprise the nurse in your life with a really nice one, this watch from Timex is one of our favorites!

Lastly, you could always order flowers or balloons and send to your recent nursing school graduate as a gift, and this will be a great way to show them you care. I listed this one last because, although it is very thoughtful and creative, flowers quickly die and balloons deflate. But it is still a wonderful option if you can’t think of anything else, and some people LOVE flowers, while others are more practical and would prefer to have a gift that will last more than a day or so.

This film…I could watch it over and over again! This is truly a treasure for the nursing profession. In the American Nurse Project, the director, Carolyn Jones, captures the passion of several nurses as she shares their unique stories. This year, at Nursing Management Congress, I actually got to meet Miss Jones, which was such a highlight for me. The book is on my wish list this December – I’ll keep you posted if I receive it! Think about sharing this film with all nurses who are passionate about the care they provide and the people they touch. ">

How 'bout for those tired of runnin' dogs of hers getting "broke in" to running on the floors as a new nurse? Try a foot bath/massager, easy to use, soooo soothing to those aching feet when she gets home from work! Add a pedicure kit to it containing reviving lotion for feet, callous pad, nail polish, toe separater to aid in keeping toes apart while painting toenails, that type of accessory in addition to the foot massager/foot bath itself. It is electric, just add water to a certain level, turn it on....ahhhh, instant blessed relief with heat, no less! ">

A stethoscope. Definitely a practical gift, a stethoscope is a great way to give to a nurse - you can't go wrong with this classic Littman stethoscope. Stethoscopes can get stolen, so you could go even bigger and get it engraved with your nurse’s name, eliminating that “finders keepers” problem. But remember, nurses are pretty specific about the tools that they like to use, so be sure to ask your nurse which type is preferred, or give a gift card to purchase a specific stethoscope. (Remember that controversy about Miss Colorado, the nurse with the stethoscope?)

When my parents asked me what I wanted for my nursing school graduation gift, I asked for a gift card to a scrub shop!  Most new nurses don’t have a lot of scrubs already–they may only have the scrubs with their school’s emblem stitched on.  So the gift of new scrubs is a very practical option!  I love Lydia’s Scrubs for their wide selection and reasonable prices, and it’s easy to order online.
Serving the duel purpose of relaxation while also humidifying the room, an aromatherapy diffuser is the perfect gift idea for a nurse who wants to come home and unplug from it all. We recommend the InnoGear brand thanks to its great user accolades and features such as auto shut off and changing color options that both adults and kids will find fun. ">

It seems like nurses have one of the most important jobs in the world and usually get half the credit they deserve!  This time of year is perfect to let that special nurse in your life know just how much you appreciate them, respect them, and are thankful for them.  Whether they’re newly graduated, a veteran in the medical industry, a male nurse (yes, they totally do exist so start showing some respect!), or you’re looking for a birthday gift perfect for the funniest registered nurse you know, we’ve got your back. From traditional to outside-the-box,  check out some of the best gifts for nurses (so far) in 2019.

Shoes(or shoe orthotics). Nurses walk a lot, and comfortable shoes are key. Offer to take your nurse out to buy the shoes that feel most comfortable, or provide a gift card for a shoe store. Again, shoes are particular for each person, so it’s better if you ask for their input on this practical and health-enhancing gift. These Dansko clogs are our favorites! If you're looking for a lighter and more athletic look, try these NIKE Tanjun sneakers.

A unique gift I have received and given as a gift many times, is the Humanity Bracelet. It can be purchased in pewter, sterling or gold. It has seven, two sided links with the virtues: Loyalty, Unity, Passion, Joy, Kindness, Humor, Hope, Courage, Love, Trust, Honor, Family, Truth and Charity engraved on the links. 'Google' Humanity Bracelet for a variety of sites. The bracelet is a unique keepsake.

The amount of money you spend a nurse’s gift has nothing to do with its value or the meaning it will have on the nurse. For example, if you had a family member in the hospital and wanted to do something nice for the nurses on the shift, picking up a box of donuts and bringing them to the nurse’s station to do wonders for the mood of the unit. Or you can do something a little more expensive and buy a unique pack of pens and give every nurse that provided care one. If you want to spend a little more, you could order some custom badge reels, stethoscope charms, maybe just a few Starbucks gift cards.
A busy nurse won’t have had much time for new experiences. So give her a gift that brings plenty of them. She may not yet have any definite plans for her retirement, so introduce her to some possible options. Would she relish the chance to learn to fly? Does she long to become a salsa dancer? Does travel to an exotic country feature in her future plans? Sign her up for some foreign language classes. Retirement is also going to bring her plenty of time to enjoy leisurely lunches, so buy her some gift coupons for her favorite restaurants or coffee shops.
