Nurses: they’ve been saving lives, taking pulses and caring for others since the beginning of time. Honor the hard work and dedication of the Florence Nightingales in your life by wishing them a happy Nurses Day on May 6 or anytime during National Nurse Week, May 6-12. Nurses Day raises awareness of the important role nurses have in everyone’s life. From Nurse Midwives to Nurse Practitioners to Registered Nurses, show those superheroes in scrubs just how appreciated they are with Nurses Day cards that celebrate their career or thank them for their care. Want to know just what to write in it? We’ll help you say it in just the right way. And gifts for nurses are always appreciated, especially gifts that make their job just a little bit easier—like a travel mug, soothing hand cream or a fancy pen. A wood quote sign or figurine about nursing also makes a great nursing graduation gift. Be sure to give your nursing appreciation gift the right finishing touch with our selection of gift wrap perfect for the occasion. Want to know more? Check out our article on the history of Nurses Day, then go out and tell all the nurses you know: they’re the balm! ">

Cash may seem like a no-brainer, but with all of the time spent in nursing school, a new graduate will likely appreciate any money they can get their hands on. Plus, cash can buy anything, so no one will ever be disappointed with money–you’re guaranteed to get them exactly what they want. I know I was most happy with all the cash I got! Also, this is by far the easiest gift to give too. ">
NRSNG Academy’s OB (Obstetrics) Course breaks down the most important things you need to know to care for a client before, during, and after pregnancy. Every aspect is broken down into manageable chunks to eliminate confusion and overwhelm. We help you understand what common risks and complications are, how the baby grows and develops, and how to assess both mom and baby after the baby is born. We even talk about medications that are commonly given during pregnancy. ">
One of the reasons I bought these is another reviewer said the toes were loose, which was exactly what I needed. My second toe is the same length as my big toe and most socks Cause pressure and a sore nail. These socks fit loose on the end of my toe and are snug the rest of the way up my leg and so I am thrilled. They are warm which is great for winter but I doubt if I’ll wear them in the summertime. Although I have some lovely colorful ones for summer, ">

If you’re still not sure what the perfect gift for that particular nurse should be, you can always go with a gift card. You can do something broad like an Amazon gift card, where they can buy almost anything (including gift cards to other stores). Other fun options include Starbucks, Gas gift cards, Movie gift cards, or other food and entertainment options.
After three months of heavy use, this bag is still in perfect condition -- and I'm very hard on my bags. It looks just like the picture, and is surprisingly sturdy for the price. I've gotten a ton of compliments on it! Just make sure to check the dimensions before ordering, as it's a little small for a messenger bag -- somewhere between a purse and a netbook bag. ">
Speaking from someone who is graduating on Sat- I would tell people to give her $$$$$$$$$$$$ if they want to give her something. I know it isn't very specific or unique to nurses but if she is in a similar situation as I am-she probably needs the cash! Even though I have worked all through school, I am completely broke and am praying relatives will give me cash because even though I have a job lined up -the soonest they will let me start is the 13th of may. So there you have it-a nice thoughtful card with some greenbacks would be a beautiful gift for a new grad to recieve. And maybe a gift cert-for some nice new scrubs!
When I am searching for a truly unique gift for someone, Etsy is always my first stop. I love the fact that most of the items are handmade and one of a kind. I also feel great about encouraging small local businesses. Etsy has plenty of original gift ideas for the nurse in your life, from drinkware to jewelry. I always get tons of compliments when I wear my Etsy buys. I know the nurses in your life will too!
A patient to keep alive: a house plant. Countless studies have proven that having plants in the home leads to a healthier lifestyle. If your nurse doesn't have a green thumb to speak of, gift a plant that's easy to take care of, like aloe or bamboo (aloe even has healing properties). As the plant grows, your nurse will fondly remember its significance and appreciate its beauty.
